  • WR WES WELKER (50; 100) is on pace to become the first player in NFL history with six 100-catch seasons. Welker (nine) needs six Touchdown catches for the most TD catches in a season in club history (ANTHONY MILLER, 14).

SAN DIEGO

  • QB PHILIP RIVERS has 2,473 passing yards and is on pace (4,946) to surpass Pro Football Hall of Famer DAN FOUTS (4,802 in 1981) for the most passing yards in a season in franchise history.

  • TE ANTONIO GATES (8,871), needs 333 receiving yards to surpass Pro Football Hall of Famer CHARLIE JOINER (9,203) for the 2nd-most career receiving yards in club history.

  • Rookie WR KEENAN ALLEN leads NFL rookies with 527 receiving yards and can challenge for the most receiving yards by a Chargers rookie (JOHN JEFFERSON, 1,001 in 1978).

The Broncos lead the series  57-48-1 and have won the last three. San Diego has won 9 of the past 14 games and are 32-21 at home against Denver. The last time these two teams met was 11/18/12. The Broncos won 30-23. QB Peyton Manning threw for 270 yards & 3 TDs. Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas had 3 catches for 42 yards and a TD.

The last game in San Diego was 10/15/12. The Broncos prevailed 35-24. Peyton Manning engineers comeback from 24-0 deficit, passing for 309 yards & 3 TDs for 129.0 passer rating and Chris Harris had two Interceptions, including a game-capping 46 yard Pick Six.

The odds are holding fast with Denver as the 7 point favorite. but division games usually transcend that.

Go Broncos!
